Protecting your data matters to us. Family Menu is built to collect as little data as possible. This policy describes which data the app processes and why.

Family Menu works locally by default. Family members, dishes, preferences, weekly plans and attendance are stored only on your device at first. Without signing in, this data never leaves your device.
If you sign in to sync across devices or share the plan with your family, the following data is stored on our server:
Signing in works by email with an 8-digit one-time code. No password is stored; codes are kept only in hashed form and for a limited time.
Family Menu contains no advertising, no tracking and no third-party analytics. We do not build user profiles and do not sell data.
Your data is not sold or passed on to third parties. To operate the service we only use technical providers: server hosting and the email delivery of the sign-in codes (via Infomaniak, Switzerland). They process data solely on our behalf.
Synced data is kept as long as you use an account. One-time codes automatically expire and are removed after a short time.
You can request information about your data or its deletion at any time. Local data can be removed directly in the app. You can delete your account and the data stored in the cloud yourself — in the app under “Account & Sync → Delete account” or via our deletion page. Alternatively, write to support@hung.ch.
The app is intended for use by families. Information about children (e.g. first names) is entered voluntarily by the adults. No accounts are created for children.
We may adjust this policy when the app changes. The current version is always available on this page.
